Balige City Is In Lake Toba Side And Silangit Airport Sumatra
The road
along Lake Toba in Balige
It's really
nice to be able to explore the outskirts of Lake Toba
Along this
small road there are several gates which are carved by Batak Gorga.
"Rich" really isn't really our country? Rich in culture.
Arriving at
Pasar Balige and seeing souvenir shops open, we immediately looked for what we
were looking for, namely Ulos. For souvenirs, my friend bought some cheap Ulos
for his friends just as souvenirs, namely Rp. 100,000, - for 3 Ulos. Wow !!
Make Ulos even though it's hard ... you have to weave one one ...
For those of
you who will be looking for a truly authentic Ulos souvenir from traditional
weavers around Balige, you can find it in the location of this traditional
Balige market.
However, you must be observant in terms of choosing, and must
have a price reference from ulos fabric. For example, for traditional handmade
Ulos, the price can reach hundreds to millions of rupiah.
So if you find Ulos
at a low price, you should question it, or you can look for it in other stores
in this market. If in Jakarta, to find Ulos is very easy, you can go to Pasar
Senen, more Ulos sellers in Pasar Senen than at Pasar Balige, HAHA ... But
again about the price, if at Pasar Balige, friends can get prices cheaper than
in Pasar Senen. Don't forget, it must be smart to bargain! Hehe..
Souvenir
shop in Pasar Balige, don't forget the price must be offered
After
shopping, we returned to the hotel. Because they want to try other modes, the
choice is between using Betor (Becak Motorbike) or angkot. That is all about explanation and you can book Lake toba tour package in your lovely travel agency to explore another tourist attraction near Balige city, such as Samosir island.
But because Betor is
funny here, one is only enough for one passenger, the other is like the one on
Samosir Island who can raise 4-5 passengers, finally we decided to take an
angkot.
As long as our observations go on and on in Balige, angkot-angkot here
is different in color (possibly a used angkot from another city), but the
routes are the same. Finally we boarded an angkot and voilla! Until we were at
the hotel.
